Hearing and Vision Information
Vision and Hearing screenings will be administered at Par Excellence Academy at the start of each school year.  The reason we conduct screenings is to identify possible vision or hearing problems.

All students in grades kindergarten, first, third, fifth, and all students new to the district will be screened. In addition, any student who demonstrates a concern will be screened.

If your child passes the vision or hearing screening, you will not be contacted by our Health Aide.  However, if there is a concern, you will receive a letter and a referral to have your child evaluated by a doctor.

Please keep in mind these screenings are only a snapshot of how your child performs on the day the test was administered and is not a substitute for a comprehensive eye or ear exam by an
audiologist or ophthalmologist.
